Millward Brown Ulster Celebrates its 40th

This year sees Northern Ireland’s premier market and social research agency reach a landmark - Millward Brown Ulster (formerly Ulster Marketing Surveys) is celebrating its 40th birthday.

Founded in 1965 by the late John Meagher, Millward Brown Ulster has flourished to become an agency with expertise unparalleled in Northern Ireland. The company is the largest and most experienced of its kind in the Province. Combining this expertise with local knowledge allows Millward Brown Ulster to conduct research to the highest standards. Since 2002 the company has been part of the international Millward Brown Group; a world leader in brands and communications research.

On 9 September 2005, around 80 of the executive staff, field and telephone interviewers and data processing personnel gathered to celebrate the occasion in style. Green wellies were donned as staff proceeded to Belvoir Park Forest to plant 40 trees with the help of the Woodland Trust.

A barbeque lunch was then held in the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, after which the staff were able to sample hot ports in the museum pub accompanied by traditional music, see a birthday message printed in Baird’s printers and tour the Ballycultra town area at their leisure.

Richard Moore, Managing Director of Millward Brown Ulster, commented, "This was a tremendous way to celebrate our 40th birthday and we will look forward to Millward Brown Ulster setting the pace in Northern Ireland’s market and social research agency for the next 40 years and beyond!"
