Bangor man Richard Moore, Managing Director of Millward Brown Ulster, received the ultimate honour of being made 'Marketing Person of the Year' at the recent Chartered Institute of Marketing Awards.

This award is made annually by the Board of CIM Ireland to honour the achievements and contribution of a CIM member who has done most to promote the interests of the marketing profession and by their example has inspired marketing success in others. Indeed it is the only occasion on which CIM actually honours 'one of its own'.
Richard is considered to be a commercial heavyweight in the marketing services sector and has done much to shape the industry in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and has helped to endow it with the enviable reputation for professional excellence. Indeed, if one was to create a "who's who" table of the most dedicated marketing practitioners around today it would be hard to avoid putting his name high up the list if not at the top.
He believes passionately in the importance of marketing professionalism and the imperative of always delivering the highest possible service standards. This commitment has advanced Millward Brown Ulster to become a leader in its field. The company has brought valuable and robust market insights to virtually all public sector and major private sector organisations in Northern Ireland.
Richard is held in high esteem by clients and colleagues alike, for his professionalism and his integrity. He has also worked tirelessly over many years to champion the interests of the marketing profession and served as Chairman of the Northern Ireland branch of the Chartered Institute of Marketing in 1994/1995 and also served on the CIM National Council from 1996 to 1998. Last year he also was awarded a special business leadership award by the Institute of Directors as part of its centenary celebrations in recognition of his contribution to marketing services.
